Description:Summary: Species: | Hu | Applications: | IP, FACS | Clonality: | Monoclonal | | Gene: | EMR3 | Purity: | protein G purified | Host: | Hamster | | Specificity: | NB100-65935 recognizes human epidermal growth factor (EGF) module-containing mucin-like hormone receptor 3 (EMR3), which is a 56kD member of the EGF-7 transmembrane (TM7) family of adhesion receptors. EMR3 is expressed at the cell surface as a heterodimer. The molecule is predominantly expressed on granulocytes, and at lower levels on mature myeloid cells, monocytes and dendritic cells. EMR3 is absent on lymphocytes, haematopoietic stem cells and myeloid progenitors. Studies suggest that the EMR3 molecule is up-regulated during late stages of neutrophil differentiation and is a marker for terminally differentiated cells. The exact functions of EMR3 and its ligands have not yet been determined. | Publications: | Antibody has not yet been mentioned in a publication. | Details: Clone: | 3D7 | Isotype: | IgG | Immunogen: | ARHO-EMR3-CD97 (EGF1) transfectants. | Localization: | Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Family members are characterized by an extended extracellular region with a variable number of N-terminal epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like domains coupled to a TM7 domain via a mucin-like spacer domain. This gene is closely linked to the gene encoding egf-like molecule containing mucin-like hormone receptor 2 on chromosome 19. This protein may play a role in myeloid-myeloid interactions during immune and inflammatory responses. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms.EMR3 has been reported to be expressed in neutrophils, monocytes, and macrophages. ESTs have been isolated from liver/spleen and mixed libraries. Species: Reactivity: | Human. Not yet tested in other species. | Applications: Uses: | This antibody is useful for immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry / FACS analysis | Dilutions: | flow cytometry / FACS analysis 1/50 - 1/200, immunoprecipitation | Concentrations: | 1.0 mg/ml | Packaging: Buffer: | Phosphate buffered saline pH7.4 | Storage: | Store at 4C short term.
