Description:Summary: Species: | Po | Applications: | ICC, WB | Clonality: | Monoclonal | | Gene: | ACR | Purity: | Affinity purified | Host: | Mouse | | Specificity: | The ACR 2 reacts with various forms of porcine acrosin (55, 53, 45 and 35 kDa) in the acrosome of undamaged spermatozoa. | Publications: | Antibody has not yet been mentioned in a publication. | Details: Clone: | ACR-2 | Isotype: | IgG1 | Immunogen: | Acid extracts of boar spermatozoa were subjected to hydrophobic chromatography and the pooled fraction with reactivity to N-alpha benzoylarginine-4-nitroanilide was used for immunization. | Gene Symbol: ACR Related Genes: | ALB, SPINK6, SPAM1, TNF, CRP, CSRP1, ESR1, PRM1, INS, IL6, IL1RN, IL2, ZP2, RAPGEF5, SLC17A5, CAT, RANGAP1, PLG, GLYAT, ZP4, TNFRSF11A, ACRBP, PRM2, EXOSC10, ZP3, SMCP, COMP, IL10, ADM, CD4, BEST1, ACE, HIST1H1T, KLK3, AVP, POMC, IL1B, C3, CD8A, GRIP1 | Background: Acrosin is the major proteinase present in the acrosome of mature spermatozoa. It is a typical serine proteinase with trypsin-like specificity. It is stored in the acrosome in its precursor form, proacrosin. The active enzyme functions in the lysis of the zona pellucida, thus facilitating penetration of the sperm through the innermost glycoprotein layers of the ovum. The mRNA for proacrosin is synthesized only in the postmeiotic stages of spermatogenesis. In humans proacrosin first appears in the haploid spermatids. Species: Reactivity: | Cross-reacts with Pig.Does not cross-react with Cow, Dog or Human. Not yet tested in other species. | Applications: Uses: | Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot ICC: Use at an assay dependent dilution membrane permeabilization (acetone) essential. The antibody ACR-2 reacts with various forms of porcine acrosin (55, 53, 45 and 35 kDa) in the acrosome of undamaged spermatozoa. Optimal dilutions and concentrations should be determined by the end user. | Dilutions: | Western Blot , Immunocytochemistry | Concentrations: | 1.0 mg/ml | Packaging: Buffer: | PBS. pH 7.4 | Storage: | Aliquot and store at -20C or -80C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. | Preservative: | 15mM Sodium Azide | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
