Description:Summary: Species: | Hu | Applications: | IHC-Fr, IHC-P | Clonality: | Monoclonal | | Gene: | ACTA1 | Purity: | protein G purified | Host: | Mouse | | Specificity: | This antibody is specific for alpha and gamma specific actin isomers from skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscle but does not recognize beta and nonsmooth muscle gamma actin isomers. In Western blots, HHF35 picks up a 42 kDa protein extract from skeletal muscle but not from epithelial cell line. | Publications: | Antibody has not yet been mentioned in a publication. | Details: Clone: | HHF35 | Isotype: | IgG1 Kappa | Immunogen: | BALB/C mice were injected with SDS extracted protein from allhuman myocardium. | Gene Symbol: ACTA1 Entrez: | 58 (Human) | | 72 (ACTG2) | | 70 (ACTC1) | Related Genes: | ALB, EPR, VIM, YWHAZ, INS, CYCS, CAT, DES, NEB, ESR1, MYH14, BBS9, CD34, ACHE, TF, POMC, TPM3, MB, EXOSC10, ATP6V0A1, RFC2, RFC1, RFC4, DSC3, PLA2G4A, APOA1, AKR1A1, GLYAT, PLG, A4GALT, ELN, MPO, EPO, RPLP2, C2, C4A, CEL, HNRNPC, VDAC1, PMP2 | Background: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility, and maintenance of the cytoskeleton. In vertebrates, three main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta and gamma have been identified. The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins co-exist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton, and as mediators of internal cell motility. Actin, gamma 1, encoded by this gene, is a cytoplasmic actin found in nonmuscle cells. Species: Reactivity: | Cross-reacts with Human. Not yet tested in other species. | Applications: Uses: | This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required. We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room temperature. | Dilutions: | Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin , Immunohistochemistry-Frozen | Concentrations: | 0.001 mg/ml | Packaging: Buffer: | PBS | Storage: | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. | Preservative: | Sodium Azide | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
