Description:Summary: Species: | Rt, Mu, Hu | Applications: | IHC-P, WB | Clonality: | Polyclonal | | Gene: | ADIPOQ | Purity: | IgG purified | Host: | Rabbit | | Specificity: | This recognises an epitope within the C-terminal region (CT) of the 244 amino acid protein Adiponectin (also known as Acrp30), a major adipokine secreted into the bloodstream from adipose tissue to modulate metabolism, including glucose regulation and fatty acid catabolism. Unlike most other adipokines, Adiponectin is secreted exclusively by differentiating adipocytes at reduced levels during obesity. The serum level of Adiponectin is inversely correlated with BMI (body mass index) of an individual, and has an anti-inflammatory action, playing an important role in type II diabetes (insulin sensitivity) and atherosclerosis. | Publications: | Antibody has not yet been mentioned in a publication. | Details: Isotype: | IgG | Immunogen: | A 15 amino acid peptide located near human Adiponectin carboxy-terminus. | Gene Symbol: ADIPOQ Entrez: | 9370 (Human) | | 246253 (Rat) | Related Genes: | INS, LEP, RETN, TNF, PPARG, IL6, ADIPOR1, CRP, CSRP1, ADIPOR2, SERPINE1, NAMPT, CCL2, PRKAA1, PRKAA2, PRKAB1, PPARA, TG, SLC2A4, AKT1, LPL, ALB, AGT, INSR, SHBG, PIK3CG, MAPK1, GH1, FABP4, MAPK3, BEST1, GGH, LEPR, NOS3, NFKB1, SLC17A5, IL10, IL18, POLR2D, RBP4 | Background: Unlike most other adipokines, Adiponectin is secreted exclusively by differentiating adipocytes at reduced levels during obesity. The serum level of Adiponectin is inversely correlated with BMI (body mass index) of an individual, and has an anti-inflammatory action, playing an important role in type II diabetes (insulin sensitivity) and atherosclerosis. Species: Reactivity: | This antibody is reactive against Human, Mouse, and Rat. | Applications: Uses: | This antibody is useful for Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin, Western Blot. This antibody detects a band of approximately 26.4kDa in human HL60 cell lysates | Dilutions: | Western Blot 1-2 ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin 10ug/ml | Concentrations: | 1.0 mg/ml | Positive Controls: | 1 positive controls | Packaging: Storage: | Store at 4C short term.
