Description:Summary: Species: | Vi, Hu | Applications: | RI, ELISA | Clonality: | Monoclonal | | Purity: | protein A purified | Host: | Mouse | | Specificity: | Adenovirus hexon specific. This recognizes an epitope common to all adenoviruses. This detects a different epitope than the monoclonal, NB600-413. | Details: Clone: | 1E11 | Isotype: | IgG2a/IgM | Immunogen: | Hexon antigen of human adenovirus. | Background: Hexon protein is a major coat protein of adenoviruses. Adenoviruses capsids have three principal protein components: the hexon, the penton, and the fiber. Hexon consists of three subunits together forming two major components of different morphological symmetry. A triangular top with three towers of density is superimposed on a more bulky pseudo hexagonal base. The symmetry of the top is in accord with the trimeric nature of hexon, but that of the base derives from the molecular function, which is to provide a densely packed impenetrable protective outer layer for the virion. Species: Reactivity: | Human adenovirus. | Applications: Uses: | Recommended for use as an ELISA pair with NB 600-413 (clone 8C4) | Dilutions: | ELISA,Radioimmunodiffusion, | Concentrations: | 2.0 mg/ml | Positive Controls: | 1 positive controls | Packaging: Buffer: | PBS, pH 7.4 | Storage: | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. | Preservative: | 0.1% Sodium Azide | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
