Description:Summary: Species: | Rt, Hu, Mu, Ch | Applications: | IF | Clonality: | Polyclonal | | Gene: | ACTA1 | Purity: | Whole antisera | Host: | Rabbit | | Specificity: | NB100-64429 reacts with actin, the major constitutent of the thin filaments in muscle and of the microfilaments in non-muscle cells. It is present in all eukaryotic cells and its organization may vary from one cell to another depending on it's origin and physiological state. Actin exists a monomeric form (G-actin) or in a filamentous form (F-actin). In immunofluorescence, this product stains the stress fibres of cultured fibroblasts from chicken, mouse, rat and human. It also stains the I-bands of stretched skeletal muscle. | Details: Isotype: | IgG | Immunogen: | Actin isolated from chicken back muscle. | Gene Symbol: ACTA1 Entrez: | 58 (Human) | | 11459 (Mouse) | | 29437 (Rat) | | 421534 (ACTA1) | Related Genes: | ALB, EPR, VIM, YWHAZ, INS, CYCS, CAT, DES, NEB, ESR1, MYH14, BBS9, CD34, ACHE, TF, POMC, TPM3, MB, EXOSC10, ATP6V0A1, RFC2, RFC1, RFC4, DSC3, PLA2G4A, APOA1, AKR1A1, GLYAT, PLG, A4GALT, ELN, MPO, EPO, RPLP2, C2, C4A, CEL, HNRNPC, VDAC1, PMP2 | Background: The two major cytoskeletal proteins implicated in cell motility are actin and myosin. Actin and myosin are constituents of many cell types and are involved in a myriad of cellular processes including locomotion, secretion, cytoplasmic streaming, phagocytosis and cytokinesis. Although actin is one of the most conserved eukaryotic proteins, it is expressed in mammals and birds as at least six isoforms characterized by electrophoresis and amino acid sequence analysis. Four of them represent the differentiation markers of muscle tissues and two are found in practically all cells. Species: Reactivity: | Cross reacts with Chicken, Mouse, Human and Rat. | Applications: Uses: | Immunofluorescence | Dilutions: | immunofluorescence 1:40 | Packaging: Storage: | Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. | Preservative: | 0.09% Sodium Azide | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
