No reactivity with smooth muscle actin is seen. | Details: Clone: | 5C5 | Isotype: | IgM | Immunogen: | Purified rabbit skeletal muscle Actin | Gene Symbol: ACTA1 Entrez: | 58 (Human) | | 70 (ACTC1) | Related Genes: | ALB, EPR, VIM, YWHAZ, INS, CYCS, CAT, DES, NEB, ESR1, MYH14, BBS9, CD34, ACHE, TF, POMC, TPM3, MB, EXOSC10, ATP6V0A1, RFC2, RFC1, RFC4, DSC3, PLA2G4A, APOA1, AKR1A1, GLYAT, PLG, A4GALT, ELN, MPO, EPO, RPLP2, C2, C4A, CEL, HNRNPC, VDAC1, PMP2 | Background: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility, and maintenance of the cytoskeleton. In vertebrates, three main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta and gamma have been identified. The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins co-exist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton, and as mediators of internal cell motility. Actin, gamma 1, encoded by this gene, is a cytoplasmic actin found in nonmuscle cells. Species: Reactivity: | Reacts with Broad and Human. | Applications: Uses: | Immunohistochemistry-Frozen, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections. This product does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Staining of formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues may be improved in some cases by the use of antigen retrieval techniques. | Dilutions: | Immunohistochemistry-Frozen Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin | Packaging: Buffer: | 0.5% Bovine Serum Albumin | Storage: | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. | Preservative: | 0.09% Sodium Azide | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
