Description:Summary: Species: | Fe, Eq, Gp(-), Rb(-), Rt, Po(-), Mu, Hu, Ch(-), Ca, Bv(-) | Applications: | RI | Clonality: | Polyclonal | | Gene: | SERPINC1 | Purity: | IgG purified | Host: | Sheep | | Specificity: | This product gives a single arc when tested by IEP and 2D-IEP against human plasma. Identity is confirmed by double diffusion (Ouchterlony) vs human plasma and a known anti-human antithrombin III. | Details: Isotype: | IgG | Immunogen: | Human antithrombin III purified from plasma, shown to be homogeneous by SDS-PAGE. | Localization: | Secreted protein; extracellular space. | Gene Symbol: SERPINC1 Entrez: | 462 (Human) | | 11905 (Mouse) | | 304917 (Rat) | Related Genes: | PROC, PLG, TAT, F10, SERPINE1, SERPIND1, ALB, VWF, PLAT, PF4, PPBP, THBD, TFPI, F5, F3, PLAU, SERPINB2, ELANE, APC, INS, IL6, SLC25A10, TNF, ACPP, PAPOLA, MRPS30, ASAP2, REG3A, ASAP1, TUSC2, PDAP1, VTN, MTHFR, F8, A2M, FVII, C3, ATP2A2, AKR1C2, A4GALT | Background: Antithrombin III (ATH III) is a plasma protein synthesised in the liver. Normal plasma levels are 115 to 160mg/L. ATH III consists of a single polypeptide chain and has a molecular weight of 58kDa. ATH III is a serine protease inhibitor and regulates coagulation by the formation of covalently liked complexes. ATH III also has a heparin binding site and in the presence of heparin the inhibition of thrombin, factors IXa, Xa and XIa is enhanced 1000 fold. Low levels of ATH III (functional or concentration) are associated with deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Antithrombin assays are based on immunologic, enzymatic, or clotting properties Species: Reactivity: | Reacts with Human, Rat, Horse, Mouse, Dog and Cat. Does not react with Rabbit, Cow, Pig, Guinea pig or Chicken. Not yet tested in other species. | Applications: Uses: | RID and Rocket IEP: 6?L antiserum/cm©÷ gel vs 5?L neat 1/10 dilution human plasma Double diffusion: 10?L antiserum vs 5?L plasma IEP: 100?L antiserum vs 5?L plasma The use of 3% PEG 6000 with 1.2%agarose in a suitable buffer (such as TBE or Tris-barbital pH >8.2) is recommended. Suitability for use in nephelometry, immunohistochemical procedures, enzyme-linked immunosorbentassays and Western blot has not been assessed but use in such assays should not necessarily beexclude | Dilutions: | Radioimmunodiffusion | Concentrations: | 11.0 mg/ml | Positive Controls: | 1 positive controls | Packaging: Buffer: | Glycine buffered saline pH7.4, 0.1% EACA, 0.01% Benzamidine,1mM EDTA | Storage: | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. | Preservative: | 0.1% Sodium Azide | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
