Description:Summary: Species: | Hu | Applications: | IHC-P, IHC | Clonality: | Monoclonal | | Gene: | NEFL | Purity: | IgG purified | Host: | Mouse | | Specificity: | This reacts with 70 and 200 kD component of the polypeptide subunit. It stains neurons, neuronal processes and peripheral nerves. This reacts with some neuroblastomas and gangliomas but not with other non-neuronal tumors. | Publications: | Antibody has not yet been mentioned in a publication. | Details: Clone: | 2F11 | Isotype: | IgG1 Kappa | Immunogen: | BALB/C mice were injected with purified neurofilaments from human brain. | Localization: | Cytoplasmic | Gene Symbol: NEFL Related Genes: | NEFM, NF-H, NFASC, GFAP, MPZ, VIM, SOD1, KIF1B, LAMC2, MAPT, PRPH, NEFH, PMP22, MAP2, GJB1, MAD2L1BP, MBP, IGFALS, NF200, METAP2, HSPB1, ENO2, GAP-43, MFN2, PXMP2, NES, GCLC, GCA, GMCL1, GMCL1L, MTMR2, SYP, NGF, PHLDA2, BDNF, GARS, CDK5, DLG3, DES, MBL2 | Background: Neurofilaments usually contain three intermediate filament proteins: L, M, and H which are involved in the maintenance of neuronal caliber. The extra mass and high charge density that distinguish the neurofilament proteins from all other intermediate filament proteins are due to the tail piece extensions. This region may form a charged scaffolding structure suitable for interaction with other neuronal components or ions. This antibody provides an early marker of neuronal migration and differentiation in human fetal development yielding Golgi like images without the disadvantages of lack of selectivity and poor specificity of the Golgi technique. In specifically delineating cell bodies and dendrites, this antibody can be used to trace the inside out gradient of neuron production and differentiation. Pathologic conditions, such as under nutrition affect this antibody visualized soma size and dendritic arborization. Species: Applications: Uses: | This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded and acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required. | Dilutions: | immunohistochemistry , Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin | Conjugated Ab's: | 1 conjugated antibodies | Packaging: Storage: | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. | Preservative: | No Preservative | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
