TD is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by an absence of plasma HDL, cholesterol ester depositing in the reticulo-endothelial system and deviations in cellular lipid trafficking. ABCA1 mediates the apo-A1 associated export of cholesterol and phospholipids from the cell. It is expressed on the plasma membrane and the Golgi complex, and is regulated by cholesterol flux. Regulation of the cholesterol flux between HDL and macrophages is competitive between ABCA1 and SR-BI. Species: Reactivity: | This antibody reacts with rat and mouse ABCA1 and low reactivity with human. Other species have not been tested. | Applications: Uses: | NB 100-2068 may be used for Western Blot where a band representing ABCA1 is seen at ~220 kDa. Optimal dilutions should be determined by the end user. | Dilutions: | Western Blot 1:2000 | Conjugated Ab's: | 4 conjugated antibodies | Packaging: Buffer: | 50mM sodium borate | Storage: | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. | Preservative: | No Preservative | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
