Description:Summary: Species: | Rt, Mu, Hu, Ca | Applications: | WB, IP, IHC | Clonality: | Monoclonal | | Purity: | protein G purified | Host: | Mouse | | Specificity: | This recognizes 3-nitrotyrosine moieties in human, mouse, rat, and dog samples. | Publications: | Antibody has not yet been mentioned in a publication. | Details: Clone: | 39B6 | Isotype: | IgG2a | Immunogen: | 3-(4-hydroxy-3-nitrophenyl-acetamido) propionic acid conjugated to BSA. | Background: Nitrotyrosine is a marker for inflammation and nitric oxide (NO) production and is formed in the presence of the active metabolite NO. While multiple nonenzymatic mechanisms are known to be capable of producing nitrated tyrosine residues, most tyrosine nitration events involve catalysis by metalloproteins such as myeloperoxidase, eosinophilperoxidase, myoglobin, the cytochrome P-450s, superoxide dismutase, and prostacyclin synthase. Because nitrotyrosine is a stable product of multiple pathways, such as the formation of peroxynitrite, its plasma concentration may be a useful determinant of NO-dependent damage in vivo. Nitrotyrosine has been detected in inflammatory diseases such as septic shock, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, atherosclerosis, and chronic renal failure. Species: Reactivity: | This antibody crossreacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, and Dog. | Applications: Uses: | Immunoblotting: use at 0.2-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: use at 1-5ug/ml. Immunoprecipitation: use 1-2ug per 100-500ug total protein. | Dilutions: | immunohistochemistry 1-5 ug/ml, immunoprecipitation 1-2 ug, Western Blot 0.2-2 ug/ml, | Positive Controls: | 1 positive controls | Packaging: Buffer: | PBS, pH 7.4 with 50% glycerol | Storage: | Aliquot and store at -20C or -80C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. | Preservative: | 0.09% Sodium Azide | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis.
