NF-M is modified by glycosylation and phosphorylation. The NF-M protein shares a high degree of structural and sequence homology with the NF-L and NF-H subunits, especially in the coiled-coil core domain. NF-M and NF-H form flexible extensions linking the neurofilament proteins to each other and other cytoplasmic proteins. The NF-09 monoclonal antibody recognizes the highly conserved NF-M protein (phosphorylation and non-phosphorylated form) in all species. The NF-09 antibody has been reported to be useful for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry using formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues, and immunofluorescence staining. Species: Reactivity: | All species, reacts with both phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms. | Applications: Uses: | Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, suggested working dilution(s): Use 5 mug per 5 ml antibody dilution buffer for each mini-gel. Immunohistochemistry-paraffin. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. | Dilutions: | Western Blot , Immunocytochemistry , Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin | Packaging: Buffer: | This antibody is provided in phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide at 0 | Storage: | Store at 4C. Do not freeze. | Preservative: | 0.09% Sodium Azide | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
