Specificity | This antibody is specific to 14-3-3 protein beta/alpha. | Application | Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 10 µg/ml. Western Blot. | Background | 14-3-3 alpha + beta mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine containing proteins. The encoded protein has been shown to interact with RAF1 and CDC25 phosphatases. It may play a role in linking mitogenic signaling and the cell cycle machinery. Two transcript variants, which encode the same protein, have been identified for this gene. They are also adapter proteins implicated in the regulation of a large spectrum of both general and specialized signaling pathway. They bind to a large number of partners, usually by recognition of a phosphoserine or phosphothreonine motif. Binding generally results in the modulation of the activity of the binding partner. | Concentration | 0.2 mg/ml | Focuson | 116 Antibody Panel to Proteins of the 14-3-3 family (14-3-3 beta, 14-3-3 gamma, 14-3-3 epsilon, 14-3-3 zeta, 14-3-3 theta, 14-3-3 sigma, 14-3-3 eta) | |
