Description:Summary: Species: | Mu, Rt, Hu | Applications: | WB, IHC | Clonality: | Polyclonal | | Gene: | ACTB | Purity: | Whole antisera | Host: | Rabbit | | Specificity: | Actin. | Publications: | Antibody has not yet been mentioned in a publication. | Details: Immunogen: | A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal of beta, gamma, kappa Actin (ACTB, ACTG, ACTK) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The peptide is homologous in many species including rat, mouse, zebra fish and xenopus. | Localization: | subcellular location: cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. | Gene Symbol: ACTB Entrez: | 60 (Human) | | 11459 (Mouse) | | 29437 (Rat) | Swiss Prot: | P60709 (Human) | Related Genes: | GAPDH, HPRT1, B2M, TBP, PPIA, YWHAZ, SDHA, PGK1, HMBS, ALB, RPLP0, RPL13A, VIM, EEF1A1, ACTG1, UBC, TFRC, POLR2A, TUBA1B, GUSB, PUM1, CDKN2A, TH, RPL4, EEF1A2, POU5F1, TNFRSF11A, G6PD, RPL32, GHR, ITGB2, INS, MYOG, EGF, PPIB, FGF2, ESR1, XRCC1, CLDN3, ANXA2 | Background: The two major cytoskeletal proteins implicated in cell motility are actin and myosin. Actin and myosin are constituents of many cell types and are involved in a myriad of cellular processes including locomotion, secretion, cytoplasmic streaming, phagocytosis and cytokinesis. Although actin is one of the most conserved eukaryotic proteins, it is expressed in mammals and birds as at least six isoforms characterized by electrophoresis and amino acid sequence analysis. Four of them represent the differentiation markers of muscle tissues and two are found in practically all cells. Species: Reactivity: | Human, Rat and Mouse. | Applications: Uses: | Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot | Dilutions: | immunohistochemistry, Western Blot 1:300-1:2000 | Notes: Reconstitute in 0.1 ml of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Packaging: Buffer: | Lyophilized | Storage: | Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. | Preservative: | No Preservative | Limitations: | This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Products are guaranteed for 6 months from date of receipt, except for peptides and proteins which are guaranteed for 3 months. | |
